Universal Shorin-Ryu Younger students (ages 7 to 12 years old) study the Universal Shorin-Ryu (Junior) system. This system has been designed by educators and child psychologists to introduce Shorin-Ryu karate to children. Universal juniors learn the same basic karate techniques including kata, self-defense, and sparring in a way kids really enjoy. The program also prepares this age group to enter the adult system of traditional Okinawan Shorin-Ryu. Included in this system is our "Academic Achiever," "Born to Win," "KidSmart," and "Codes of Conduct" programs, as well as Junior Jujitsu and Junior Weaponry.
